Illegal Immigration

Illegal Immigration

As much as we all seem to want to see Illegal Immigration on the fast track to becoming something of the past I realize that no one offers any complete solutions. We see anger and a lack of knowledge to how this has come about and ways so heavy on our minds, day in and day out. I would like to provide you with a solution to this great opportunity. Let it be shown that as Americans we do have answers that will satisfy all parties involved.

The Magic of 5
To seek the ending solution without first understanding the beginning of how this started would be a crisis in itself. The first thing we must look at is a simple 5 question analogy.
Who
What
When
Where
Why

The “Who” are Illegals that enter from all nations around the would and for a variety of reasons, the majority being of Mexican decent.

The “What” they are for the most part is honest poor under privileged people looking for an opportunity to find work. In all reality they are wanting to just survive one day at a time, much as we in the United States were once upon a time in our history.

The “When” is happening all the time 24/7/365 nonstop. We see it everyday and everywhere we look people are continuing to come with no money or any place to go.

The “Where” is at all borders of the United States and is becoming evident more and more every day. One only needs to come to Florida to see that all borders are being penetrated.

The “Why” is because of the lack of education. Our biggest problem is adults who are coming here have less than a 6th grade education and the largest part cannot read or write their own language or the English language. When a person has skills and a proper education they stand to prosper no matter what country they live in. Without education they must resort to manual labor and if their country has none to offer they will become nomads and look for the next opportunity.

5 Steps

1.We must first start with the illegal act committed first. The first act was committed when they entered the US without a legal passport. That law is the same in Mexico as in the US, we must all have a valid passport to leave as well as enter an other country. There should be a time frame of 6 months (or an acceptable time frame) to allow for all illegal immigrants to apply for and receive a passport from their country of origin. This is needed to prove their true identity so that a background check can be performed. Those whom countries deny them a passport would need to be placed in a separate category to determine their deportation status or moved to the next status as they will have provided enough documentation to move forward.

2.They must then declare whether they are here for work purposes only and do not wish to become an American Citizen or their goal is one of citizenship. Those wishing to become American Citizens should be placed in the back of the line, pay a penalty of some sort for illegal entry and made to conform to the standards of the US. Persons who are here just for employment should be granted work visa's if they have current employment and are paying all local, state and federal taxes as required by law. They should be granted a “NON US Citizen Drivers License” if they qualify to drive and have appropriate insurance. Mexico has the same requirements for Americans entering Mexico and driving an automobile (they must purchase insurance and have a valid drivers license). Those who are unemployed would be given a reasonable amount of time (30 days) to acquire employment and if they could not find such they would be required to go back home and reapply for work in the US. Failure to do so would be a fine and time penalty to reenter the US.

3.There should be a law enacted that all work encompassed by an immigrant (or any other foreign national)would have been advertised to the public in various media and local unemployment offices first (ample time 2 weeks or more / state/county regulated).

4.We need to build a joint substation at the border where all those wishing to come for employment could come and pay a fee to the American and Mexican governments for documentation and employment assistance. One has to remember that if you can pay a coyote to bring you here illegally and with a dangerous path, paying the government for safe passage with a guaranteed job should be no problem. They need to prove they have enough money to get them safely from point A to point B as hitchhiking in the US for the most part is illegal on a lot of our highways.

5.Last but not least US companies wanting to hire immigrant workers need to take some responsibility for the safe welfare and wellbeing of workers. They need to have housing or adequate accommodations to keep them safe and protected. There should be a contract between employer and employee for a certain amount of time and then the employee goes back home and the process starts over again. Those wishing for a no time frame contract will need to apply for US Citizenship. The companies would need to be on a data base with the American and Mexican Governments (Border substation) to provide all the employment information so that the employee could see what was offered before the journey or payment for services was paid.

Reality

The true fact is we cannot swoop down and make vanish all those who are illegal immigrants. We can however enact a system where they will want to become free from fear. Allowing them to work and live in the United States as a legal citizen or as a temporary worker. As of this day there are no choices but illegal entry and all of us know the hard truth about a few things in particular about employment. Yes the nations majority knows well enough we need their services in the agriculture industry and they do an excellent job that 99% of all Americans do not want to do. There are numerous jobs that we as a society no longer want (roofing, asphalt, lawn-care etc) because we have become more educated and we seek better employment, as they will one day and their children. I for one know that the secret to peace will be education because only the educated can sit and communicate in total understanding of one another. Security and Humanity go hand in hand, for the right to be free and secure is a dream held by all men and women.

Conclusion

I hope all who read this will take the time to see we need solutions. The times we live in are hard enough with out anger and frustration. Its too bad our politicians don't see problems as a whole and work to solve them instead of name calling / bickering. They spend a lot of time in a circle and as we all will agree that to find the answer you must stand outside the circle and look in at the problem which is how we as Americans see it every day. Just need to take the blinders off. Somebody needs to tell them that stress kills and their killing us.
